Construction videography in Sydney

Progress capture, completed-project films and social content shot around a live site — by someone who understands inductions, exclusion zones and that the concrete pour does not wait for a camera.

The approach

Builders have the same problem in reverse to most businesses: the work is genuinely impressive and almost none of it gets filmed. The frame goes up, gets covered in plasterboard, and the only record is a few phone photos in a group chat.

Construction content works because it shows competence rather than claiming it. A client deciding between three builders is looking for evidence you finish things properly, and footage of your actual sites is the most direct evidence there is.

One thing worth knowing early: if you are a newer builder without a footage library, Google Search usually earns your first leads faster than social. Search catches people already looking for a builder. Social builds the case for choosing you. Start on search, film as you go, and by the time you have three months of site footage the social side has something real to run on.

What's included

What you actually get

01

Progress capture

Scheduled visits at the milestones that matter — slab, frame, lock-up, handover. Ten minutes of footage every few weeks compounds.

02

Completed project films

The finished build, filmed properly. One hero film plus vertical cut-downs for socials and your website.

03

Site-safe operation

White card, PPE, and an understanding that the trades on site are on a program that does not stop for filming.

04

Before and after

The comparison that sells renovation and extension work better than any description of it.

How it runs

The process, start to finish

Site walk

We look at access, power, the program and what stages are worth capturing.

Capture schedule

Visits booked against your build program rather than a fixed calendar.

Filming

In and out efficiently. Drone where airspace allows, handheld and tripod for the rest.

Edits delivered

Progress clips within a week of each visit; the completed film after handover.

What it costs

Priced to the job, not off a menu

Construction work is scoped per project rather than per video. A single site visit is a few hundred dollars; capturing a whole build across its milestones runs into the low thousands.

We scope every job properly and put a fixed number in writing before anything starts. No hourly billing, no surprises at the end.

What moves the number

  • How many site visits across the build program
  • Whether drone is permitted on the site
  • Progress clips only, or a completed project film as well
  • One project or ongoing across everything you have running

Questions

Common questions

Can you work around a live site?

Yes. We work to your program, not the other way round. White card and PPE as standard, and we will do inductions if your site requires them.

Do we need to stop work for filming?

No. Almost everything is shot while trades keep working, which is what makes the footage look real.

Is drone allowed on construction sites?

Usually, with the builder's permission and clear airspace. Sites near airports or under controlled airspace need approval, which we check beforehand.

What about client privacy on residential builds?

We agree in advance what can be shown. On most residential jobs we film the work rather than anything identifying the address or owner.

Should we be doing ads as well as content?

For most builders, Google Search first — it catches people already searching for a builder. Meta retargeting makes sense around the 60 to 90 day mark, once there is footage worth putting in front of people.
